Sector/Project Description: Engaging with educators who influence the upbringing of children, with the objective of building conceptual knowledge around gender discourses and masculinities, understanding the self, and creating a safe and inclusive environment for children.

Methods: Consultations, quantitative, qualitative and participatory methods were used and a sample size of 288 was achieved.

Client/Collaborator: The Gender Lab

Sector/Project Description: A service-learning program for adolescent boys aged 13-14 in low-income schools 

Geography: Across India: Delhi, Haryana, Mumbai  

Methods: Focus groups were conducted in 4-9 schools a year, along with 20 interviews with women and girls involved in the participants lives. 105 boys were also surveyed.

Sector/Project Description: "Parivartan" is the personality development program of Deepstambh Manobal, which provides online and offline training to children with disabilities, orphans and economically underprivileged students.

Geography: Maharashtra, India 

Methods: Through the Most Significant Change approach, 119 stories were collected from students on the domains of change, which were then analyzed by an evaluation group of stakeholders in "Parivartan".

Sector/Project Description: Investigating parental engagement dynamics, understanding fathers’ familial relationships, their attitude towards and involvement in early childhood development, and their own aspirations, concerns, self-perceptions and influences, so as to identify opportunities for them to be easily involved in their children’s learning. 

Geography: Across India in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Delhi 

Methods: Research team interviewed a total of 152 fathers of children in their early years with 73 in rural areas and 79 in urban areas. An almost equal number of fathers of boys (77) and girls (75) were interviewed.

Sector/Project Description: RNP’s 'Young Men and Boys' portfolio consists of programs that seek to change gender norms, enable adolescents and adults to question norms and make non-stereotypical choices, promote leadership in addressing violence against women and girls and foster healthier relationships and greater gender equality.

Client/Collaborator: Village Capital (VilCap)  

Sector/Project Description: VilCap runs accelerator programs to provide entrepreneurs with the tools to increase their efficiency, sustainability, impact, and inclusiveness. In addition to on-the-ground work with entrepreneurs, they work on a system level to make impact investing more inclusive and to drive capital to a broader set of entrepreneurs.

Methods: Collected primary data through the observation of VilCap's workshops and interviews with entrepreneurs. Synthesized data and identified preliminary findings for VilCap to use in a broader study.

Sector/Project Description: Building capacity to reduce child and forced labour in informal supply chains in the apparel sector with the objectives of leveraging market influence over suppliers, improving supply chain transparency, offering educational opportunities for children in garment worker communities and ensuring decent work for adults.

Methods: 87 qualitative, in-depth interviews with key stakeholders including garment workers, suppliers, and educators/parents were conducted.

Client/Collaborator: Oxfam Great Britain 

Sector/Project Description: Mobile education platform to train gherkin farmers—mostly women—in improved agricultural practices by equipping field officers with digital tools and locally relevant videos for consistent, practical guidance to enhance farmers’ skills/knowledge. The initiative aims to boost productivity and crop quality, reduce income uncertainty, and strengthen equitable relationships between farmers and suppliers.

Geography: Southern India 

Methods: Quantitative surveys with 202 farmers and 37 field officers were conducted, along with 17 qualitative interviews and focus groups.

Sector/Project Description: Aims to strengthen small-scale farmers by helping them organize better, gain access to affordable inputs and services, improve their farming knowledge and practices, and connect to reliable, competitive markets in order to maximise resources, create jobs, address food insecurity, generate income and provide means to adapt to climate change.

Geography: Kenya: 3 sub-counties; Migwani, Mwingee Central and Mbeere South. 

Methods: 154 quantitative surveys with farmers, 12 qualitative focus groups with farmers and forum leaders and 14 key informant interviews were conducted.

To inform their investment into K-12 education, they sought to assess opportunities to improve learning outcomes in affordable private schools, the availability of business models to meet this need, and whether demand exists among potential customers of the business.

Methods: Quantitative and qualitative data was collected by conducting 321 surveys and interviews with customers, 407 with non-customers and 258 with local village level entrepreneurs who sell systems.
